About
Discover the vibrant flavors of Rancho Grande Mexican, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Center, Texas. Located at 816 Tenaha St, Center, TX 75935, this restaurant embodies the essence of authentic Mexican cuisine, offering a delightful escape into a world of savory aromas and comforting dishes.
As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I must emphasize the restaurant’s commitment to quality ingredients and traditional recipes. Their recent culinary additions, such as the Los Alambres—two perfectly grilled shrimp skewers served atop a bed of fluffy rice, paired with garlic butter vegetables and homemade pico de gallo for just US$17.95—are not to be missed. The balance of flavors in this dish is a testament to their culinary prowess.
Another standout is the Birria Tacos. Priced at US$13.95, these three authentic tacos showcase marinated beef cooked in a rich adobo sauce, paired with crispy corn tortillas, onions, and cilantro. The accompanying consomé is a flavorful dipping broth that elevates the overall experience, making every bite unforgettable.
If you have a penchant for seafood, try the Fried Fish Tacos or the Grilled Fish Tacos, both offering generous portions of seasoned catfish served with vibrant toppings. The Fried Fish is another delightful option, with three fillets seasoned and fried to golden perfection, served alongside rice for US$12.95.
Patrons rave about the speedy service and the warm atmosphere that Rancho Grande Mexican cultivates. Customer reviews highlight the exceptional staff, with many noting their promptness and friendly demeanor. As one diner enthusiastically mentioned, “The food was off the charts amazing!” Their sentiments echo a shared appreciation for the Charro Beans and salsa, praised as some of the best around. The complimentary ice cream cones for dessert add a delightful touch, making every visit feel special.
To quench your thirst, the restaurant offers a diverse range of drinks, from classic soft drinks like Pepsi and Mountain Dew, priced at US$3.25, to refreshing iced tea and lemonade options.
In summary, Rancho Grande Mexican is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican fare. The enticing new plates, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere make it a dining experience worth repeating. I wholeheartedly recommend giving Rancho Grande a try—you won’t be disappointed!
“ I’m from South Texas and feel I know good Mexican food when I eat it. Rancho Grande had delicious chips, salsa, and queso. For me that is half of the meal. The food was tasty and the service was speedy. There are free ice cream cones for dessert. All in all this was a pleasant dining experience. ”
“ Excellent service! The waitress was on par the drinks were strong the prices were reasonable. Definitely will be going back ”
“ I have been coming to Center for 15 years and for some reason never tried this place. We ate here for dinner and the food was off the charts amazing! Our server Jacky was great and very friendly. We got the Molcajete and it tasted amazing. The Charro Beans and Salsa were honestly some of the best I have had in a very long time. I may have found my new favorite place to eat in Center! We will be back! ”
“ Staff was excellent and so polite. You wouldn't know they were under staffed if I hadn't over heard the hostess. We were there a few days ago and we had beef fajitas for two and live guacamole which was delicious and I will post pictures. I had tortilla soup which was delicious but not much chicken or root vegetables. My friend got a beef taco salad which she enjoyed. Sorry no photos from today. I definitely recommend. You should give it a try, you won't be disappointed. ”
“ If you like good Mexican food, this is the place to go. Fresh food, good size portions, and great taste every time. Server was prompt and courteous. ”
“ It was busy but we were able to get in without a wait. Food was very good and not too expensive. Tables had adequate spacing between them. ”
“ Food was excellent. The Molcajete was big enough for two people to share and DELICIOUS! Waiter was friendly and attentive but seemed a little overwhelmed. Bar drinks took a bit too long, but we're still cold upon arrival. Homemade salsa and queso are very good here. ”
“ Always good... we recommend the #9 Parrarilla Plate. It's a mixture of bacon, beef and chicken fajitas with pablano peppers and onions. Come with rice and beans and all the fixings. My wife and I order the plate for 1 but it's more than enough for 2 with leftovers. ”
